December 1st, 2006 by cefnfforest in Uncategorized · No Comments
Cuddly Kiwi arrived from Moturoa Class, Appleby School, Nelson, New Zealand today Friday 1st December. You can imagine our excitement ( blurred photograph) as we ripped open the parcel, and there inside was our visiting Kiwi and our penpal letters.

Kiwi had a great first day with us after helping out in Class with our Skype conversation with Miss K,
Cuddly Kiwi helps with our computer work. He came in to watch our Year 3 pupils show their Gymnastic moves in a ‘Special Assembly’ ( video podcast to follow)
Getting tired, eventually he sat down in our newly put up Christmas Tree, before the end of school when he went home with Jordan who is having a Birthday Party this weekend.
Cuddly Kiwi is going to be visiting all of our houses over the next few weeks, he is going to have a Wonderful Welsh Christmas.

The continuing adventures of Tiny Ted
November 14th, 2006 by cefnfforest in Uncategorized · No Comments
Well look here Tiny Ted is certainly having a great time in New Zealand, as we saw yesterday, he recently visited ‘Lucky’ and this week he has been on more adventures. He is obviously a very intelligent Bear ( well he does come from Wales!!), as he has been spotted in the Library with Jackson catching up by reading about the local wildlife.

He was next spotted helping out with some work on the laptop ( this Apple laptop makes Mr Harrington jealous : ) )
Then best of all he is seen with Lara’s Muscovy duckling on a visit.

Tiny Ted certainly seems to be having a brilliant time in New Zealand he will certainly have some great stories to tell when he gets home. We hope that Moturoa are having as much fun hosting their visitors from Wales as we are getting from looking at the photographs.

In New Zealand Tiny Ted has visited Gloria’s horse, whose name is ‘Lucky’ we think Lucky is a beautiful horse and we are sure that Tiny Ted enjoyed his time visiting him in his stable. Thank You very much Gloria for taking the photgraph.
More news from today Monday 13th November, we had a skype conversation with New Zealand this morning when Ellie and Harry asked some questions to be passed on to their e-pals Jess and Dino by Miss K ( thank you miss for taking the call ), we look forward to their replies. The latest Appleby Airwaves podcast contains our ‘goobye shout out’ which Miss K recorded.
Tiny Ted (geocache) and Travelling Ted arrive at Moturoa Classroom
November 8th, 2006 by cefnfforest in Uncategorized · No Comments
Great News - Tiny Ted the geocache bear has arrived with his travelling companion Travelling Ted at Moturoa Classroom at Appleby School. The pupils there were very excited by their parcel, but had to wait until after their lunchbreak to open the parcel.

Our parcel arrived from Wales today. It arrived during lunchtime but we had to wait until the bell went so we would all be there when it was opened.
It was really good to see how well the parcel had travelled during its 12,500 mile journey.

As well as Ted and a travel bug we found a CD Rom of photos and messages from our friends in Wales. Miss K is going to print them off for us to look at!
They loved both teddies and took some photographs which were then posted on Tiny Ted’s website.

| Ruby made a great subject for a photo with the travel bug. We are excitied about the idea of taking the travel bug home with Miss K’s camera to take photos of him at home with us! | |||
